(More customer reviews)The vacuum has superior suction and is easily cleaned. The Tubes and tools are all extra cost accessories. This also has odd sized hose and fittings. There are no american made set of tools or hose that will fit this device. I was able to make adaptors from PVC to incorporate it into my existing 2" dust collector system.

Automatic Operation. The Fein 9-55-13 Turbo II 9 Gallon Wet/Dry Dust Extractor Vacuum features an automatic on-off switch. Plug your sander into the panel mounted outlet. When you turn your sander on, the vac starts automatically. When you shut your sander off, the vac continues to run for 3 seconds to clean the hose. Rugged Design. The Fein Turbo II is designed for heavy, continuous, industrial use. The Turbo II can handle power tools with inputs of 40 to 2000 watts (.3 to 19 amps). The powerful two- stage motor offers bypass cooling. This means that if the hose or filter become blocked, air will still cool the motor. Quiet. (More customer reviews)I purchased the Fein 9-55-13 Turbo II last year and it kind of found a new home with a family member. Thought I would give the new Porter Cable 7812 a try. I was not disappointed at all with the Fein but just like trying new items. The 7812 has been a pleasant surprise so far. Like the on board storage brackets for the accessories and the auto shut-off feature that it has for water pick-up. The Fein has a little nicer hose and longer power cord. Both units have the same hose size. You should purchase the accessory kit and save your self some trouble finding attachments to fit if you need them. Both units have the on board outlet for auto-start while using a power tool. Porter Cable could do a nicer job with advertising its features especially on the Internet. Even a call to Porter Cable was not what one would expect. The literature I received over the fax was a brief one pager. The manual also could be a little better. Although its nice that they included an actual parts break down of the unit. You don't see that to much anymore. In addition to the paper bag that traps most of the dirt they have a car like pleated filter that is accessible from the top lid. Also there is a foam final filter on the topside of the unit. To help in cleaning of the pleated filter, a flip down lever is located on one side that when pulled will shake some of the dust build up off the bottom of the filter. Don't know how effective this will be in actual working conditions with a lot of dust build up. The best method is to remove the filter and wash it out and keep the bag changed. If you don't keep the air moving, you're not going to pick up much dust and dirt. Box has Made In Italy on the side. Between the Fein and Porter Cable I prefer the Porter Cable 7812. It's a nice well built unit.

Love-Less 160-01 Dustless Wet/Dry and Drywall Vacuum Review

(More customer reviews)I bought one of the first Love-Less ash vacuums ever sold from the owner of the company more than 10 years ago. I still have it and use it to clean out my wood-burning stove all winter. I bought the wet/dry vacuum 3 years ago and love it still, it really 'SUCKS'. I can fill the vacuum up with sawdust from my table saw and never have to clean the filter. I own 2 wet/dry vacuums and 2 LOVE-LESS ash vacuums. If you have a fireplace or wood-burning stove I would urge you to find out about their ash vacuum they work excellent. Love-Less Vacuum is located in Price Utah.

Porter-Cable 7814 15 Gallon 1-1/2 Horsepower Tool-Start Wet/Dry Vacuum Review

(More customer reviews)After several models of Shop-Vac vacuums (they're all junk as far as I'm concerned) i decided to dig deeper in my pockets and get a decent vacuum. That led me to the Porter Cable.
Decent is an insulting understatement. This thing has power!!! With a clean filter this thing loves to eat nails, screws, rocks you name it.
This vacuum accidentally fell 9 feet to the floor below where I was using it. Nothing broken or bent. It didn't even come apart. Now that's durability.
With respect to the noise level during operation, it's the quietest vacuum I own (i have 2 shopvacs and a Sears Kenmore canister). It's even quieter than the Sears vacuum with bogus Whisper feature.
The only problem I have with this model is its weight. It's tough to carry up and down stairs even with the carry handle on the top.
Lastly, if you get the filter bags for this from Amazon, make sure you're getting the 15 gallon bags. the 10's are the ones they usually show you in the "related accessories" area. I ordered a bunch of them (the 10's) thinking they were 15's. The 10 gallon bags do not work well in the 15 gallon vacuum (they rip apart from the weight of what they're holding).
In a nutshell, you want quality? Buy this or the 10 gallon model. You won't be sorry.
