(More customer reviews)I needed sun protection over my new vehicle and in front of my garage & workshop here in So. Cal. where summers can be brutally hot. So I bought 3 10x20 8 legged canopies that did pretty well. But the canopy material only lasted about 2 yrs. of 24/7 weather. So, when I got to the point of replacement of all 3, I thought putting a Dry Top Tarp over each canopy would maybe help them last at least twice longer. The 18x24 was the perfect size. I put up all 3 in late March right after some on-going severe winds we get from time to time. My tie-down system worked perfectly. Then last month, I noticed a deterioration area in one. Then another. Now would you know, each one has deteriorated to the point of worthlessness, and they have been up less than 6 months! And since installation, there has been virtually no heavy winds that would cause any early ripping in the fabric. I even used parachute cord to criss-cross each top to help prevent the "billowing" effect and defer any extra stress on the tarp material. So, I can only conclude that this touting of "Super-Heavy-Duty UV Treated" is just a crock of HOOEY! Don't waste your money on this product.

The quality is excellent and is very durable. I appreciate the thickness of the tarp and the little details of how the tarp is reinforced. Knowing that the tarp is UV treated also allows me to confidently leave it out in the sun if necessary.
SUMMARY: I would buy this tarp again, and if I require different sizes, will buy a Dry Top branded tarp again.

(More customer reviews)i bought this tarp to protect our patio furniture during the winter months. i've used it one winter. it kept the furniture dry. it's not a really high quality tarp. it seems like it would tear fairly easily, and it seems fairly thin, but these are merely perceptions. i have not conducted any scientific tests or comparisons. but i can tell you it kept our stuff dry for one winter, and i play to use it again next winter.

(More customer reviews)Product came quickly and was as advertised. Excellent quality. Fair price. As other reviews have stated the grommets are approximate in distance apart, not exact. For my needs (to cover a patio trellis for a party during a storm) that was fine.
Color was great- white not the blue or silver. The tarp held up great to the wet windy weather and kept the dj dry. This size tarp really needs two people to install. It is heavy and large.
Depending on your installation, the bungee ball tie downs (look like a large girls hair tie) for the tarp are really useful and make quick work of installing and securing it.
Would definitely purchase again!

(More customer reviews)I used this tarp to cover my boat. I stretched a rope the length of my boat then drapped the tarp over it and secured the bottom with bungie cords. In less than 2 weeks the factory glued seam which ran the length of the tarp seperated. I realize the temperature in S. Florida can be extreme but this is the first tarp I've seen do this. Usually they last about a year before they break down. The return process was quick and easy and I have received a speedy refund.

I was concerned that the tarp might now hold up well with the sharp rocks, and I was right. After just 5 days covering the rock pile in wind and rain, there were many holes in the tarp from the rocks that punctured it. Depending on your planned use, you may want to consider a heavier duty tarp. That said, I think this one would be fine for light-medium duty use.

(More customer reviews)I used this tarp as a cover for a 10x16 canopy on my deck. I installed it in June, 2008, and it lasted until March, 2010 when it finally began to tear. This was in continuous outdoor use in Atlanta, GA. I used zip-ties to secure it to a standard 1-3/8" tubular steel frame. It was the perfect width (10' wide frame with pitched roof), but was a little long (frame was shorter than 16') so I used zip-ties at one end and hung plants from the grommets at the other end. The weight of the hanging plants kept it pulled tight the whole time and the grommets never ripped out, even through severe storms. When it finally began to tear, it was along the ridge of the roof where it's exposed most to rain, sun, squirrels, stretching, etc. The reason I'm reviewing it now is because I came back to buy the exact same product.
