PVA is a super absorbent material made at a very cheap cost in China, and should cost no more than a few dollars to buy.
You can buy a no-name brand PVA towel identical to the Absorber from auction sites, shipped from China, for around $4.
Now you can see why $10 for the Absorber is a rip off.
The armorall towel is a bargain because it is the same size, thickness, and material as the Absorber, and has equal water absorbing power.
I chose to buy this Armorall version instead of the no-name brand PVA cloth because the armorall has a dimpled texture on one side (see the pictures above). This texture prevents the towel from sticking to the car when you wipe it down, allowing you to dry faster.
To dry a large sedan, I only had to wring out the towel once. I dried the whole car in 1 minute.Don't pay extra for the Absorber. Don't get scammed by the ShamWow (which leaves orange lint on your car).
Save money and buy this instead.
