(More customer reviews)I've tried a number of mounts from various manufacturers (including Kensington), and this is by far the best. It has a modern design for tightening the power post in my car's power socket, so it doesn't wobble when I drive. It holds my iPod Video perfectly well, even though it doesn't use the usual foam padding on the side arms. And the arms are thinner and less bulky without that padding. The pass through power socket is behind the iPod mount, not underneath as in other designs, so it is more compact overall, which makes it a much better fit in my car. Oh, and as a bonus, the package includes a heating vent mount that you can use in lieu of the stalk mount. I already have a GPS hung from my my heating vent, so I won't be using this one, but it was a complete surprise to find it in the package.
I gave the construction 4 stars because it is made of plastic. All such mounts are plastic, and at this price point the caveat is little more than a quibble.
